Outings

Opportunity to Engage Beyond the Classroom

During each semester, Yale Alumni College offers a unique special event open to all students. Outings have included an architectural Manhattan boat excursion, tour of Grand Central Station, receptions at Storm King Art Center, a tour of the New York Historical Society, the Cloisters, a visit to the World Trade Center Memorial and Museum, the Rose Center for Earth and Space, the Hayden Planetarium and a visit to the High Line, the historic freight rail line, now a world class urban elevated park above the streets in Manhattan.

Yale Alumni College also promotes class-specific excursions to local attractions or events that tie into the topic of the course or offer an opportunity to socialize with the class. These may include class dinners, viewing of plays, tours of museums or galleries and even the occasional special guest in the classroom.
