Alumni Interviewing

Alumni interviewing and recruiting of prospective Yale undergraduates from the Chicago area is coordinated by the Greater Chicago Alumni Schools Committee. The ASCs are an integral part of the admissions process and are vital to maintaining the excellence of Yale's student body.

The Chicago area team is led by Regional Coodinator Scott Williamson '80 and five ASC directors:

  • Margo Wolf O'Donnell '90, Area 5001, North Side Chicago and Oak Park: 312-425-8521; email modonnell@vedderprice.com
  • John Stogin '80, Area 5004, North Shore suburbs: 847-951-6583; email jstogin@aya.yale.edu
  • Tracy A. Campbell, '96, Area 5007, South Side Chicago and Indiana: 312-258-5602; email tcampbell@schiffhardin.com
  • Elizabeth (Lissa) Dow, '89, Area 5011, Western suburbs: 815-740-4031; email elizabethdow@sbcglobal.net
  • Ted Jones '64, Area 5012, Northwest suburbs: 847-412-0546; email ebjones56@hotmail.com

These five committees have over 170 ASC members who interview over 700 students each year. In addition to interviewing, committee members are involved in a variety of recruiting activites, such as participating in college fairs, visiting high schools to identify top prospects, and organizing receptions for admitted and matriculating students.

New ASC members are always welcome. Interviewers are especially needed in the collar counties of McHenry, DuPage, Will, Kane, Kendall, and Northwest Indiana, where we are not always able to interview all the applicants. To become involved, contact Scott Williamson at 312-596-0560 (email krentz.williamson@rcn.com) or any of the regional directors listed above.
