Wednesday, October 29, 2008, Town and County Club, 22 Woodland Street, Hartford: The Yale Club hosts a pre-election luncheon debate analyzing the impending election. Prior to the debate, the Yale Club will present Connecticut Secretary of State Susan Bysiewicz, '81, its Nathan Hale Award for notable service to the community, and Secretary Bysiewcz will provide the Yale Club a keynote address. Thereafter, media luminary Duby McDowell will moderate a debate between liberal and conservative views with a panel including favorite raconteurs, former Republican State Chair Richard Foley and former Democratic State Chair John Droney, as well as others. The event promises to be a rousing and informative affair. Please RSVP by October 22, but because this event is open to the public and seating is limited, it is best to respond ASAP. Pricing and details will be forthcoming.

Next Social Event

Junior Achievement, Wednesday morning, May 21, 2008. We are partnering with Junior Achievement of Southwest New England for a morning of service to Connecticut's elementary schools. Yale Club volunteers will spend the morning from 9 AM to 1 PM with an elementary school class at Charter Oak Academy of Global Studies, West Hartford, CT. VOLUNTEERS NEEDED. Registration deadline is Friday, May 2.
