Yale in Hollywood provides a forum for alumni in - and interested in - entertainment to network via panels, mixers and chats. Producing and Financing Films Today:
Inside, Outside, Alongside the Studios

Over the last few years there has been a trend towards creative ways to finance, produce and distribute films. While the industry has seen the emergence of new financiers and distributors such as Overture, Summit and Endeavor backed Media Rights Capital, there have also been some high profile retrenchments from Sidney Kimmel, Newline and the closure of WIP and Picturehouse. What is the longevity of the 'new' financiers/producers? How can an independent producer thrive in today's market? Are there too many films being made and how will they be distributed?

Come join our distinguished panelists as we try to answer these questions and others.
