Yalies take center stage at
the Kodak Theatre
April 25, 2007
HOLLYWOOD - About 30 Yalies, actors, and friends walked on center stage at the Kodak Theatre - the same place where Oscar winners and American Idol finalists stand - on our Yale in Hollywood tour.

Our guide, Yalie Laura Patterson, Director of Production for the Kodak, took us on an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour. We went places the regular tour doesn't go.
Our tour included:
- Orchestra Pit. To feel what the 100+ orchestra feels
- On Stage. It's impressive seeing the view of the theatre
seats from the stage.
- Backstage to see the huge elephant door, used to bring it
large sets
- The Winner's Walk. We traced the steps of the Oscar
winners to see where they go after they win the award on stage. We
walked from on stage, along the side hallway, up an elevator, down a hallway
lined with pics of past Oscar winners, toward the ballroom where the press
awaits.
- The VIP lounge, where Hollywood elite schmooze
Thanks to Laura for guiding us on a great tour!
