Amplus L/Fiftieth Birthday Parties
The unthinkable is happening! The Amplus L, the Big five-oh, half-century milestone, is upon us, or close. And I was just getting used to being “XL” (no, not Extra Large!) Worse, from now on “L” is actually going to seem “young”. Of course, “L” is preferable to the other alternative, unless someone discovers the Watercooler of Youth (where are you Chemistry majors when we need you?) But to ease the transition, 79ers around the country are making L-Lemonade out of L-Lemons - celebrating “the new 30” (and pondering how this happened to such a youthful group). So far we have volunteer “L” hosts in quite a few locations (see below). Email Ed Hirs if you are interested in helping, hosting, or organizing an “L” gathering in your area.
