A recent communication from Joe Callo

I am currently working on my sixth book, which is a memoir that focuses on the influence of the sea on my life. It begins with my recollections of being on the Provincetown Inn beach with my family, when I was about three years old. I haven't yet figured out where the memoir will end.

On February 8, there was an op-ed piece that I wrote in the New York Post. The title was "What About Our Military?" the article dealt with the failure of the current aspirants for the presidential nominations to address the serious issue of military funding.

The Trafalgar Chronicle, the yearbook of the 1805 Club in the UK, recently carried an article of mine titled "John Paul Jones (1747-1792): More than a Man for his Time."

In April, I will be doing a talk/book signing for John Paul Jones: America's First Sea Warrior at the New York City Cornell Club, and in May I have similar events scheduled at the Marine Archaeological and Historical Society in McLean, VA and the Williamsburg-Yorktown Council of the Navy League.

Best
